*edit: here's the text that goes with the drawing
In that Universe, a void with no light or vibration, at its very center, was the Book of Histories. But the pages did not have words that could be sounded, or sentences that could be read. And there were none in that void to read it anyhow. It was the essence of the shapes of the writing on the pages of the Histories from which the abstraction and untouchable manifest into the stories of that Universe. The stories shaped souls through its creation and those souls were born, lived, laughed, suffered, loved, warred, and eventually died away and passed back into the Histories in an infinite cycle. Temporal aspects did not exist in that Universe, in that black void, as all stories were already existent upon the pages of the Histories. And no being had laid eyes upon the Histories, as there was no one to see it.
That is, until the moment Richard Abraham Hamilton stepped through the Pandora Mirror, a guinea pig for his own invention. But that’s another story…
The drawing is about 3 x 4 feet in size. I thought it was big until I put it up on the wall and stepped back; not so big after all! But still, too large to scan. In any case, I've increased the contrast so you can see it a bit better. It's mostly ink wash, ink, and graphite, and some waxy crayon pencil. I desaturated the photo since the actual drawing is monochromatic.
